What is Funcation?

Funcation is a fun-filled holiday activity programme designed to support children and families during the school holidays. Delivered by Carlisle Matters in partnership with the local authority and organisations, Funcation offers a safe, welcoming space where children can take part in positive activities, make friends, and enjoy nutritious food; all at no cost to eligible families. Sessions are packed with games, creative activities, sports, crafts and themed experiences, ensuring every child has something to look forward to during the holidays.

More than just activities, Funcation focuses on wellbeing, inclusion and confidence. Children are encouraged to try new things, build resilience and enjoy being active, while parents and carers gain peace of mind knowing their children are supported in a positive environment.
